After-school Programming Overview
After-school Sessions:
Slöyd sessions are offered Monday - Thursday during the academic year. Sessions are either one hour or one hour and 15 minutes long. Families are invited to register for a frequency of programming that fits their individual schedules.
Location: 400 Hutchinson Street, Louisville, CO 80027 (Louisville Elementary School)
Times: 3:00PM - 4:00PM and 4:00PM - 5:15PM
Price: $35/session (Note: scholarship opportunities are available for families with demonstrated, limited financial resources)
Age Requirements: 6-14 years old (students must have completed 1/2 year of kindergarten to enroll in programming)
After-school Program Registration
April 2026 session registration will open on March 11th at 6:00PM (please note this registration date does not follow our standard after-school program release date because of BVSD’s spring break that occurs the third week of March). Each month of the academic year, after-school program registration opens the third Wednesday of the month at 6:00PM. In the event you would like to receive notification of short notice cancellations we invite you to register for our “Waitlist/Cancellation” list to be notified via email of registration openings after the traditional monthly registration opening. (Families only need to register for this list annually.)
Summer Program Overview
Summer Program Sessions:
Slöyd sessions are offered Monday - Thursday during the months of June and July, where four sessions are offered each day between 8:30AM and 2:15PM. Sessions are one hour and 15 minutes long. During our summer programming, families can register for up to two consecutive sessions in one day.
Families are invited to register for a frequency of programming that fits their individual schedules. (Example: every Monday in June; a session each day for one “week” of Monday - Thursday programming; a sporadic set of sessions that fits between travel and other summer activities, etc.)

Times: 8:30AM - 9:45AM, 10:00AM - 11:15AM, 11:30AM - 12:45PM, 1:00PM - 2:15PM

Cancellations: In the event a session needs to be cancelled, families must notify Slöyd Experience 30 days in advance of the session for a refund to be made. In the event of a family emergency or illness, exceptions to this policy may be made.
Age Requirements: 6-14 years old (students must be entering 1st grade in the 2026/2027 academic year to participate in Slöyd Experience summer programming)
Summer Program Registration
Summer program registration will open on Wednesday, March 4th before 3:00PM. Because we have a significant increase in session availability during the summer months and in an effort to prevent our registration system from being overwhelmed, we will not be “launching” registration at a specific time. Rather, registration forms will become “active” between 6:00AM and 3:00PM!
Annual Required Participation Forms
Please complete each of the forms below for every student you have registered for Slöyd Experience. These forms are required to be completed before participation in programming and need to be completed annually.
Important Participation Information
Students must wear closed-toed shoes or they will not be allowed to participate.
Students should bring a water bottle.
Families are responsible for session payment for all registered sessions unless Slöyd Experience is notified 14 days in advance for academic year sessions or 30 days in advance for summer sessions. In the event of a family emergency or illness, exceptions to this policy may be made.
All programming will be held at 400 Hutchinson Ave, Louisville, CO 80027 (Louisville Elementary School). Directions to the exterior classroom door are provided with registration confirmation.
